I loved the centers it reminded me how horrible I am at estimation and how much I hate it. I'm sure that there is some sort of teacher code I'm breaking by saying this but I hate how much emphasis is put on estimation in math. I don't know if that's because i just don't see much point in it or I just suck at it but either way I'm not a fan. I don't feel like I use estimation. I don't know I'm not saying it should be taught but I hate it.

The thing is, we estimate all of the time (particularly when paying for things)! It's just that when it becomes rule-based that it gets annoying.
